Investment Banking Analyst Trainee - M&A Division

What role will you play in the team: You will be an integral part of the M&A team, supporting senior bankers in deal execution, financial analysis, and client presentations. Your contributions will directly impact the success of complex transactions, providing you with invaluable experience in the world of investment banking.

What you will do: You will conduct in-depth financial analysis, build complex financial models, and perform due diligence to support M&A transactions. You will also be involved in preparing marketing materials, presentations, and other transaction-related documents. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in deal execution.

Key responsibilities:

• Conducting financial statement analysis and developing financial models.
• Performing valuation analysis using various methodologies, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis.
• Assisting in the preparation of pitchbooks, presentations, and other marketing materials.
• Conducting industry and company research to identify potential M&A targets.
• Supporting due diligence efforts by gathering and analyzing data.
• Assisting in the preparation of transaction documents, such as term sheets and confidentiality agreements.
• Maintaining and updating transaction databases.
• Contributing to the overall success of the M&A team.

• Staying up-to-date on market trends and industry developments.
• Working closely with senior bankers to execute transactions efficiently.

Required Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent financial modeling skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, including macros and VBA.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, and Capital IQ.
• Understanding of valuation techniques, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
