Investment Banking M&A Analyst

What role will you play in the team:

As an Investment Banking M&A Analyst, your role is to support the execution of mergers and acquisitions transactions. You will conduct financial analysis, build valuation models, and prepare pitch books for clients, playing a key role in deal origination and execution.

What you will do:

You will assist in performing financial analysis, creating valuation models, and conducting due diligence. You will prepare presentations and marketing materials to support the team's deal origination efforts and work closely with senior bankers and clients throughout the M&A process.

Key Responsibility:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of companies, including analyzing financial statements and industry trends.
• Build detailed financial models to value companies using various valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of pitch books and other marketing materials to present to clients and potential investors.
• Conduct due diligence on target companies, including reviewing financial statements, legal documents, and market data.
• Support senior bankers in managing the M&A transaction process, including coordinating with legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes.
• Assist in the preparation of transaction documents, including term sheets, purchase agreements, and closing documents.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to discussions about transaction strategy and deal structuring.

• Support the team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Prepare and present research reports on industry trends and potential M&A targets.

Required Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in investment banking or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and macros.
• Familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, and Capital IQ.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of valuation techniques, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis.
