What role will you play in the team

As an Investment Banking Mergers and Acquisitions Transaction Specialist in our Mumbai office, you will become an integral pillar of our advisory team. You will support senior bankers in executing domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, orchestrating end-to-end deal processes, and crafting compelling pitch narratives for corporate clients.

What you will do

You will spearhead the creation of detailed information memoranda, management presentations, and valuation decks. By leveraging sophisticated M&A modeling tools and capital markets platforms, you will ensure our clients receive precise analytical insights and strategic guidance throughout every phase of the transaction lifecycle.

Key responsibility

• Build sophisticated M&A models including accretion-dilution analyses, synergy assessments, and combination balance sheets.
• Draft comprehensive pitchbooks, teaser documents, and information memoranda for live mandates and prospective clients.
• Utilize Dealogic, PitchBook, and Eikon to track industry deal flow, competitor activity, and valuation multiples.
• Coordinate closely with legal, tax, and accounting advisors during due diligence phases to ensure seamless deal execution.
• Conduct thorough financial statement analysis to identify normalized earnings, working capital trends, and debt structures.
• Manage data rooms, coordinate buyer inquiries, and streamline the flow of confidential information during auctions.
• Participate in client meetings and pitch sessions, recording critical feedback and translating them into analytical deliverables.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Post-graduate degree or professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, or relevant quantitative fields.
• Comprehensive understanding of M&A Modeling Tools, Dealogic, Eikon, PitchBook, and Financial Analysis methodologies.
• Mastery over corporate finance principles, financial accounting, and advanced valuation techniques.
• Exceptional command over Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial data retrieval systems.
• Immaculate attention to detail with the capacity to manage tight deadlines under intense deal pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear, persuasive visual presentations.

A Day in the Life

You will kick off your morning by reviewing recent transaction announcements on Dealogic and updating our internal M&A tracking database. The bulk of your day will involve building an accretion-dilution model for an active sell-side mandate and refining pitchbook slides alongside senior advisory leadership before a late afternoon client review meeting.
