What role will you play in the team

You will play a pivotal role in our elite investment banking advisory team based in Mumbai. Your primary objective will be to support senior deal-makers in executing complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and leveraged buyout transactions. You will act as the quantitative backbone for live deal pitches, ensuring absolute precision in financial modeling and strategic valuation deliverables presented to Fortune 500 c-suite executives and private equity partners.

What you will do

You will rigorously analyze financial statements, construct dynamic discounted cash flow models, and perform exhaustive comparable company analysis. Your daily routine involves synthesizing vast amounts of market intelligence using premier financial terminals to build comprehensive pitch books and information memoranda. You will coordinate closely with legal, tax, and auditing advisors to streamline due diligence processes and facilitate seamless transaction execution from inception to final closing.

Key responsibility

• Develop sophisticated DCF, LBO, and M&A financial models from scratch with flawless syntax and error-checking mechanisms.
• Conduct exhaustive comparable company analysis and precedent transactions screening to establish accurate valuation benchmarks.
• Extract, clean, and interpret real-time financial market data utilizing advanced terminal commands and data feeds.
• Draft comprehensive pitch books, confidential information memoranda, and board presentation decks for prospective clients.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary due diligence workstreams, managing virtual data rooms and responding to buyer inquiries.
  
• Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate deal structuring risks and equity return profiles under volatile conditions.
• Monitor macroeconomic trends, capital market indicators, and regulatory updates impacting sector-specific corporate valuations.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Possess a Master of Business Administration in Finance, Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder status, or equivalent rigorous quantitative degree.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Financial Analysis, Valuation Techniques, and DCF modeling methodologies.
• Expertise in utilizing Bloomberg Terminal, Capital IQ, FactSet, and PitchBook for institutional-grade market research.
• Mastery of Excel Macros & VBA to automate financial statement consolidation and sensitivity tables.
• In-depth knowledge of LBO structuring mechanics and M&A Modeling Tools for private capital transactions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored for high-stakes corporate presentations.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced investment banking environment with strict institutional deadlines.
