Investment Banking Valuation Specialist

What role will you play in the team

You will play a pivotal role in our elite Investment Banking division, driving complex financial modeling and strategic valuation exercises for high-stakes mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising initiatives. Working closely with senior directors and global clients, you will act as the analytical backbone for evaluating corporate finance opportunities, assessing market trends, and delivering precise valuation metrics to support executive-level decision-making processes.

What you will do

You will actively build comprehensive Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Leveraged Buyout (LBO), and Comparable Company Analysis models from scratch to evaluate target acquisitions and enterprise values. Your daily routine will involve synthesizing extensive market research, drafting pitch books, conducting exhaustive financial statement analysis, and coordinating with cross-functional advisory teams to execute seamless transaction workflows across diverse global markets.

Key responsibility

• Develop and maintain complex financial models including DCF, LBO, and Merger Consequences (M&A) models to evaluate corporate transactions.
• Perform comprehensive Comparable Company Analysis and Precedent Transactions analysis using industry-standard financial databases.
• Prepare detailed pitch books, information memorandums, and board presentation materials for prospective and ongoing client mandates.
• Conduct thorough financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and forecasting to identify key financial risks and value drivers.
• Utilize advanced Excel macros and VBA scripts to automate financial reporting and valuation sensitivity analyses.
  
• Collaborate with legal, tax, and accounting due diligence teams to ensure seamless execution of mergers and acquisitions.
• Monitor capital market trends, interest rate movements, and macroeconomic indicators to update valuation parameters continuously.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative discipline from a premier institution.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 0 to 1 years of hands-on experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity valuation roles.
• Expertise in Financial Analysis, Valuation Techniques, DCF modeling, LBO modeling, and Comparable Company Analysis.
• Proficiency in utilizing terminal tools like Bloomberg Terminal, Capital IQ, FactSet, PitchBook, and Dealogic for data extraction.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, data manipulation, and Excel Macros & VBA automation.
• Strong foundational knowledge of capital markets, M&A processes, accounting principles, and corporate finance theory.
• Exceptional analytical acumen, rigorous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under high-pressure deal timelines.
