Junior Cloud Infrastructure And AWS Deployment Engineer

What role will you play in the team

You will be an integral part of our cloud infrastructure and DevOps division, supporting the configuration, monitoring, and automated deployment of scalable web applications. Collaborating with senior cloud architects, you will ensure our client environments remain secure, highly available, and cost-efficient across globally distributed cloud ecosystems.

What you will do

You will provision cloud resources, configure networking parameters, and manage serverless components primarily on Amazon Web Services. Your daily tasks involve writing infrastructure automation scripts, monitoring system health metrics, setting up continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines, and troubleshooting deployment anomalies.

Key responsibility

• Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure services on AWS platforms.

• Deploy and manage serverless computing functions and containerized application workloads.
• Implement automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and cloud native tools.
• Monitor server performance metrics, network latency, and resource utilization rates.
• Configure security groups, IAM roles, virtual private clouds, and firewall policies.
• Perform routine system backups, disaster recovery drills, and patch management tasks.
• Troubleshoot application deployment failures and resolve server-side bottlenecks promptly.
• Document infrastructure architectures, deployment runbooks, and operational workflows.

Required Qualification and Skills

Applicants must exhibit a strong foundational knowledge of cloud computing concepts, operating system administration, and networking fundamentals. Key technical requirements include hands-on familiarity with AWS core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash, understanding of Git and GitHub version control, and exposure to containerization tools like Docker are vital. An engineering degree in Computer Science or relevant cloud certifications is highly desired.

A Day in the Life

You start your day by checking cloud monitoring dashboards to review overnight system performance and alert notifications. Following the team sync, you spend the late morning writing Terraform scripts to automate the provisioning of staging environments on AWS. Post-lunch, you troubleshoot a deployment pipeline error in GitHub Actions and collaborate with developers to streamline their container builds.
