Junior Data Science Engineer

What role will you play in the team

You will play a vital role as a Junior Data Science Engineer within our core analytics and machine learning division. Your primary focus will be on building, validating, and deploying predictive models, cleaning complex datasets, and working closely with senior data scientists to transform raw data into actionable enterprise intelligence.

What you will do

You will actively write and optimize Python scripts for data extraction, train machine learning algorithms using scikit-learn and TensorFlow, develop interactive dashboards in Power BI to present insights to stakeholders, and maintain robust SQL database queries to streamline our data ingestion pipelines effectively.

Key responsibility

• Develop and train predictive machine learning models using Python and scikit-learn for enterprise forecasting tasks.
• Write complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to extract and aggregate large datasets from PostgreSQL databases.
• Design, build, and deploy interactive executive dashboards utilizing Power BI for real-time performance tracking.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to implement ETL pipelines using Apache Nifi and Talend.
• 
  Conduct rigorous statistical analysis and data cleaning protocols to handle missing values and outliers.
• Monitor model drift and performance metrics post-deployment in production environments.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Programming Languages such as Python and R for data manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with Machine Learning Frameworks including TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.
• Strong working knowledge of Database Management systems like SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with Data Visualization Tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Google Data Studio.
• Basic understanding of Big Data Technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Apache Kafka.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.

A Day in the Life

Your day begins by reviewing incoming data pipelines and monitoring model accuracy metrics from overnight runs. You will spend the morning writing optimized SQL queries and developing machine learning scripts using Python. In the afternoon, you will collaborate with the engineering team to deploy a new feature set and present visualization insights to department leads.
