Junior Frontend Developer

What role will you play in the team

You will play a pivotal role in our dynamic engineering team by building responsive, high-performance web applications. Working closely with senior developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers, you will translate complex wireframes and design mockups into clean, maintainable, and interactive user interfaces using modern web technologies.

What you will do

You will actively participate in sprint planning sessions, write robust and scalable frontend code, optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability, and ensure high quality graphic standards are met. Furthermore, you will collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs and participate in code reviews to maintain stellar coding standards across the entire development lifecycle.

Key responsibility

• Develop responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks like React.
• Translate UI/UX wireframes into functional, high-quality production code ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
• Optimize frontend components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to seamlessly integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Utilize version control systems such as Git and GitHub for effective code management and team collaboration.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code accompanied by comprehensive unit and integration tests.
  
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing web applications to resolve performance bottlenecks and UI glitches.
• Participate actively in daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and peer code review sessions.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience of 0-1 years in building modern web applications.
• Proficiency in core frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript.
• Solid understanding and practical working experience with JavaScript frameworks, specifically React.
• Familiarity with version control workflows utilizing Git and GitHub for collaborative development.
• Basic understanding of API development concepts, particularly consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills with a keen eye for design details.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Your day typically begins with a quick stand-up meeting with your agile team to discuss yesterday's progress and today's goals. You will spend the morning writing React components and styling them with CSS3, followed by an afternoon session integrating RESTful APIs built by the backend team. You will conclude your day by pushing your code via Git and participating in a collaborative code review.
