Junior Product Manager

What role will you play in the team

As a Junior Product Manager at our leading client in Bangalore, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business strategy and technical execution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams of software engineers, UX designers, and stakeholders to define product features, groom the product backlog, and ensure seamless delivery of high-impact product increments aligned with our core business objectives and customer needs.

What you will do

You will actively drive day-to-day product development cycles by writing detailed user stories, managing the sprint backlog using Jira, and coordinating release schedules. Your role involves conducting user research, analyzing product metrics via Mixpanel and Google Analytics, and translating customer feedback into actionable product enhancements that directly improve user engagement, retention, and overall product satisfaction metrics.

Key responsibility

• Collaborate with engineering leads and stakeholders to define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog utilizing Jira and Scrum methodologies.
• Draft comprehensive product requirement documents (PRDs) and wireframes using Figma to articulate user flows and feature specifications clearly.
• Monitor and analyze daily product metrics using Mixpanel and Google Analytics to identify user drop-offs and optimization opportunities.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment and continuous delivery of software features.
• Conduct regular customer interviews and usability testing sessions using Hotjar to gather actionable qualitative feedback.
  
• Maintain and update product roadmaps using Aha! to communicate feature releases and strategic milestones to senior leadership.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline from a recognized university.
• Demonstrated understanding of Agile Methodologies, Scrum frameworks, and Kanban board management techniques.
• Hands-on experience with project management tools and issue-tracking software specifically including Jira and Trello.
• Familiarity with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for basic user interface design.
• Basic knowledge of product analytics platforms like Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Google Analytics for data-driven decision making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
• Prior internship or 0-1 years of professional experience in software product management or digital product development.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex quantitative and qualitative data into clear product requirements.

A Day in the Life

Your day begins by reviewing key product performance metrics on Mixpanel and checking overnight user feedback through Hotjar. You then lead the daily stand-up meeting with the engineering team to address any blockers. Afterward, you collaborate with the UX designer in Figma to finalize wireframes for an upcoming checkout feature, spend time writing user stories in Jira, and end the afternoon aligning the release roadmap in Aha! with the marketing team.
