Junior React Frontend Developer

What role will you play in the team

As a Junior React Frontend Developer, you will act as a foundational pillar within our core engineering team. You will directly contribute to building, scaling, and maintaining high-performance user interfaces for our enterprise-grade web applications. Working alongside senior architects and product designers, your role bridges the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, ensuring seamless user experiences across various digital platforms and modern web browsers while maintaining high coding standards.

What you will do

You will actively develop new user-facing features using React and JavaScript frameworks, translating UI/UX wireframes into functional, responsive code. Your daily routine will involve writing clean, maintainable code, optimizing components for maximum speed, and collaborating with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints. Furthermore, you will participate in code reviews, debug complex frontend issues, and continuously refine our design system components to deliver exceptional digital products.

Key responsibility

• Develop modular, reusable, and scalable components using React, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate design wireframes and mockups into high-quality, responsive web pages.
• Integrate frontend applications seamlessly with backend services using RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
• Manage application state efficiently using modern state management libraries and React hooks.
• Execute rigorous cross-browser testing and performance optimization to ensure lightning-fast load times.
• Utilize version control systems like Git and GitHub for effective branch management and collaborative coding.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve frontend bugs, UI glitches, and performance bottlenecks proactively.
• Participate actively in agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and peer code review sessions.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
• Strong foundational knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands-on practical experience working with React and popular JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL services within web applications.
• Proficiency in utilizing Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative software development.
• Basic understanding of database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, well-documented, and easily maintainable code adhering to industry standards.

A Day in the Life

Your typical workday begins by checking your Git repository and reviewing daily sprint tickets on Jira during the morning stand-up. You will spend the first half of the day writing React components and styling them with modern CSS3 techniques.
