Job Description
What role will you play in the team:
As a Private Equity Associate, you will be responsible for identifying potential investment opportunities, conducting in-depth market research, and supporting the due diligence process. Your role involves strategic analysis to find deals that align with the firm's investment thesis.
What you will do:
You will conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify promising investment targets, build relationships with industry experts, and analyze financial data to assess potential deals. Your efforts will contribute to the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate potential investment opportunities across various industries.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify attractive investment sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry experts, intermediaries, and company management teams.
- Perform financial modeling and valuation analysis to assess potential investment returns.
- Participate in the due diligence process, including reviewing financial statements, legal documents, and industry reports.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal review and approval.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and identify opportunities for value creation.
- Assist in the negotiation and execution of investment transactions.
Required Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Capital IQ, PitchBook, and Dealogic.
- Experience with M&A modeling tools.
