Job Description
What role will you play in the team:
As a Private Equity Investment Associate, you will be a critical part of our growth capital team, responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in high-growth companies. You'll work closely with senior investment professionals to analyze market trends and conduct due diligence.
What you will do:
You will identify potential investment targets, conduct thorough due diligence, build financial models, and prepare investment recommendations. Your work will directly influence investment decisions and the growth of our portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source potential investment opportunities in the growth capital space.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial, operational, and market analysis.
- Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment returns and sensitivities.
- Prepare investment committee memoranda and presentations summarizing key findings and recommendations.
- Participate in investment negotiations and transaction structuring.
- Monitor and support portfolio companies, including tracking performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Conduct industry research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry experts, advisors, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the firm's knowledge base and thought leadership initiatives.
- Stay abreast of market trends and regulatory changes affecting the private equity industry.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or consulting.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook, Dealogic).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with LBO modeling and transaction structuring is preferred.
- Knowledge of private equity deal terms and documentation.
