Job Description
What role will you play in the team: You will be a key member of the investment team, responsible for supporting the entire investment lifecycle from sourcing to exit. This role requires a strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
What you will do: You will conduct industry research, analyze financial statements, build financial models, and participate in due diligence processes. You will also assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough industry research to identify potential investment opportunities within the assigned sector.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, including building and maintaining complex financial models to project future performance.
- Participate in due diligence processes, including reviewing legal documents, financial statements, and conducting interviews with management teams.
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee, outlining investment recommendations and rationale.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the execution of investment transactions, including negotiating terms and coordinating with legal and financial advisors.
- Support the team in fundraising activities and investor relations.
- Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes affecting the private equity industry.
- Contribute to the development of investment strategies and processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with industry contacts and advisors.
Required Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, including experience with DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel Macros & VBA.
- Experience with Capital IQ, PitchBook, and other financial databases.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of the private equity industry and investment process.

A Day in the Life: You'll start by reviewing industry news and market data. Then, you will proceed to working on a financial model for a potential investment target, followed by participation in a due diligence call with a company's management team. Afterwards, you will be preparing a presentation for the investment committee.
