Job Description

What role will you play in the team: As a Private Equity Investment Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing private equity investments. You will work closely with senior team members to conduct due diligence, structure deals, and manage portfolio companies. Your expertise will contribute to maximizing investment returns.

What you will do: You will lead the deal sourcing, due diligence, and financial modeling efforts for potential private equity investments. You will also monitor and manage portfolio companies, working closely with management teams to drive operational improvements and enhance value. Your role will directly impact the firm's investment performance.

Key Responsibility:

  • Source and evaluate potential private equity investment opportunities across various industries.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial, operational, and market analysis.
  • Develop detailed financial models to assess investment opportunities using DCF, LBO, and other valuation techniques.
  • Structure and negotiate deal terms, including purchase agreements and financing arrangements.
  • Monitor and manage portfolio companies, working closely with management teams to drive operational improvements.
  • Analyze company performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance value.
  • Prepare investment recommendations and present them to the investment committee.
  • Maintain relationships with industry experts, investment bankers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Utilize tools like PitchBook and Dealogic to gather market intelligence and track deal flow.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Required Qualification and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis.
  • Proficiency in using Excel for financial modeling, including advanced functions and VBA macros.
  • Experience with tools like PitchBook, Dealogic, and Capital IQ.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with risk management software and capital markets platforms.
  • Familiarity with SAS Risk Management and Eikon.
