What role will you play in the team

You will assume a vital analytical role within our private equity portfolio monitoring and transaction execution division located in Bangalore. In this capacity, you will serve as the analytical backbone for evaluating new buyout opportunities and managing the risk profiles of existing portfolio companies. Your mission is to provide granular quantitative insights, rigorous LBO scenario analysis, and comprehensive risk assessments that safeguard our fund capital while maximizing operational value creation across our investments. You will work closely with investment partners and portfolio CEOs to drive strategic financial governance and optimize capital allocation frameworks.

What you will do

Your primary responsibilities include building sophisticated leveraged buyout (LBO) models to evaluate target returns, purchase price allocations, and exit scenarios under varying macroeconomic conditions. You will leverage FactSet, PitchBook, and Dealogic to source proprietary deal flow data, conduct deep industry benchmarking, and execute quantitative risk assessments. Additionally, you will monitor portfolio company financial health, design customized dashboard trackers, review monthly MIS reports, and assist deal teams in drafting detailed investment memorandums for our internal investment committee review sessions.

Key responsibility

• Develop and stress-test comprehensive LBO models incorporating complex debt structures, tax implications, and cash sweep mechanisms.
• Utilize PitchBook and Dealogic to conduct market intelligence mapping, competitor tracking, and private equity deal sourcing.
• Execute rigorous risk management assessments and financial due diligence on potential buyout targets.
• Analyze portfolio company operating metrics to identify margin expansion opportunities and cash flow optimizations.
• Draft institutional-grade investment committee memos, valuation summaries, and strategic portfolio review decks.

• Monitor credit metrics, leverage ratios, and covenant compliance across the firm's active private equity holdings.
• Integrate advanced financial modeling tools and valuation techniques to evaluate bolt-on acquisition opportunities.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Postgraduate degree in Finance or professional qualifications such as CA, CFA Level II/III, or MBA from a premier institute.
• Extensive practical experience in constructing end-to-end LBO models and performing advanced valuation techniques.
• Proficiency in utilizing industry-standard platforms including PitchBook, Dealogic, and FactSet for deal research.
• Deep working knowledge of private equity deal lifecycles, capital structures, and portfolio value creation strategies.
• Advanced Excel modeling capabilities combined with strong data visualization and financial synthesis skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex analytical workstreams simultaneously under tight deadlines.
