Private Equity Portfolio Risk And Valuation Associate

What role will you play in the team

You will serve as an integral part of the Private Equity investment management team, taking direct ownership of portfolio company financial monitoring, valuation reviews, risk assessment frameworks, and providing actionable analytical support to senior investment partners regarding active fund investments across diverse portfolio sectors.

What you will do

You will continuously evaluate private equity portfolio asset health by reviewing monthly financial statements, executing risk management software assessments, tracking SAS Risk Management metrics, performing periodic asset valuations using DCF and Comparable Company Analysis methodologies, and generating comprehensive quarterly investor reporting packages.

Key responsibility

• Execute periodic portfolio company valuations utilizing Valuation Techniques, DCF models, and Comparable Company Analysis to report fair market values to the investment committee.
• Deploy risk management software and SAS Risk Management frameworks to identify, monitor, and mitigate financial and operational risks across diverse private equity portfolio companies.
Analyze historical financial data and operating metrics extracted via Capital IQ, Eikon, and FactSet to benchmark portfolio company performance against industry peers.
Assist deal teams in conducting financial due diligence on prospective add-on acquisitions and new private equity investment targets using M&A Modeling Tools.

Prepare detailed capital markets platforms updates, portfolio monitoring dashboards, and risk exposure reports for Limited Partner (LP) advisory board meetings.
Collaborate closely with portfolio company CFOs to streamline budgeting, forecasting, and working capital management processes for optimal value creation.

Required Qualification and Skills

Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance, or CFA Charterholder with specialization in private equity or corporate finance.
Strong working knowledge of valuation models, DCF, LBO frameworks, and M&A Modeling Tools.
Hands-on experience with Risk Management Software, SAS Risk Management, and Capital Markets Platforms.
Proficiency in utilizing data providers such as Capital IQ, Eikon, Bloomberg Terminal, and FactSet.
Outstanding quantitative problem-solving abilities combined with robust financial statement analysis skills.
Demonstrated capability to manage multiple portfolio assets and deliver accurate reporting under pressure.
