Product Owner

What role will you play in the team

As a Product Owner, you will serve as the crucial linchpin between business strategy and technical implementation within our dynamic Product Management department. You will be fully empowered to maximize the value of the product resulting from the work of the development team, owning the product backlog optimization, release planning, and articulating clear business value to technical stakeholders.

What you will do

You will lead backlog refinement sessions, define acceptance criteria for user stories, and ensure that the engineering team always understands the product vision and business priorities. Your role involves active backlog grooming, sprint planning, acceptance testing, and continuous stakeholder management to deliver scalable product features that solve real user problems and elevate market positioning.

Key responsibility

• Own, manage, and continuously prioritize the product backlog to ensure it aligns directly with overarching strategic business goals.
• Articulate and clarify user stories and acceptance criteria clearly for software engineering teams during sprint planning sessions.
• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings adhering strictly to Scrum and Agile Methodologies.
• Utilize Jira and Aha! for advanced product roadmapping, milestone tracking, and cross-functional dependency management.
• Incorporate customer feedback gathered through SurveyMonkey and Hotjar directly into the iterative product development cycle.
  
• Analyze product performance metrics via Amplitude and Google Analytics to evaluate feature success and guide future development investments.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers using Figma to review wireframes and ensure seamless user experience implementation.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of dedicated experience working as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager in a software-driven environment.
• Deep, practical expertise in Agile Methodologies, Scrum ceremonies, and Kanban board management.
• Expert-level proficiency in enterprise tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Aha! for roadmapping.
• Strong background in utilizing product analytics suites like Amplitude, Mixpanel, and Google Analytics.
• Proven capability in conducting user research and analyzing feedback using Hotjar, UsabilityHub, and SurveyMonkey.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, leadership, and analytical problem-solving competencies.

A Day in the Life

You start your morning by reviewing the overnight sprint burndown charts in Jira and preparing for the upcoming backlog grooming session. Mid-morning, you lead a cross-functional alignment meeting with sales and marketing to discuss the upcoming product release roadmap mapped out in Aha!. In the afternoon, you analyze user behavior funnels in Amplitude and meet with the UX team in Figma to review acceptance criteria for a new checkout flow.
