Product Release Planner - Roadmapping & Portfolio Strategy

What role will you play in the team

You will serve as the master architect of our release schedules and product roadmaps, ensuring complete alignment between overarching corporate strategy and agile execution teams. In this capacity, you will harmonize multiple product workstreams, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain high-fidelity long-term delivery timelines across our core SaaS product ecosystem.

What you will do

You will oversee the lifecycle of product roadmaps using specialized roadmapping software, coordinate cross-departmental dependency mapping, and run rigorous sprint planning sessions. You will partner with executive stakeholders and product owners to translate high-level business goals into structured, milestone-driven release plans managed via Aha! and ProductPlan.

Key responsibility

• Develop, maintain, and publish comprehensive multi-quarter product roadmaps using specialized roadmapping software like Aha! and ProductPlan.
• Facilitate cross-functional release planning ceremonies, identifying and mitigating critical technical dependencies and timeline risks.
• Align engineering capacity with strategic business objectives, ensuring balanced resource allocation across feature development and technical debt.
• Monitor and report on milestone delivery performance, adjusting schedules proactively based on agile velocity metrics.
  
• Establish clear release governance frameworks, ensuring all deployed features meet stringent quality and compliance standards.
• Communicate release notes, upcoming feature launches, and strategic pivot timelines effectively to internal go-to-market teams.

Required Qualification and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Business Management.
• 1-2 years of proven experience in release management, technical product coordination, or project planning roles.
• Expertise in utilizing dedicated roadmapping and planning applications such as Aha! and ProductPlan.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile frameworks, Scrum practices, and backlog tools like Jira and Trello.
• Exceptional analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional dependencies.
• Superior stakeholder management, negotiation, and documentation skills.

A Day in the Life

You kick off your morning by reviewing the status of the current sprint release against the quarterly roadmap in Aha!. Next, you lead a dependency-mapping sync with engineering leads from three distinct squads to resolve a resource bottleneck. After lunch, you update the ProductPlan visualization to reflect a scope adjustment, brief the marketing team on upcoming feature deployment dates, and finalize documentation for tomorrow's executive review board.
