Positn Overview
The Senior Analyst, Workday Integrations & Extend is responsible for the design, development, and ongoing support of Workday integrations and Extend applications within the Human Resources Services (HRS) function. This role provides both operational support for production integrations and applications, as well as project based support for new implementations, enhancements, and enterprise initiatives. The Senior Analyst serves as a technical subject matter expert and trusted partner to HR, Payroll, IT, and external vendors, delivering scalable and compliant solutions that enhance business processes and ensure data integrity across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Design & Support
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Workday integrations including:
- Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
- Core Connectors
- Workday Studio
- Workday Web Services (REST/SOAP APIs)
- RaaS based integrations
- Design and support integration orchestrations, including multi step and event driven workflows.
- Develop and maintain transformation logic using XML and XSLT.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable integration solutions.
- Monitor integration performance and provide ongoing support across production and non production environments.
- Troubleshoot integration failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Coordinate with third party vendors to manage inbound and outbound data exchanges.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data privacy, security, and audit requirements.
Workday Extend Application Development
- Design and develop Workday Extend applications to enhance core Workday functionality.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver secure, user centric solutions.
- Manage application lifecycle activities including configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Ensure Extend applications align with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
- Identify opportunities to leverage Extend capabilities to streamline processes and improve user experience.

- Provide senior level operational support for Workday integrations and Extend applications, ensuring production stability and data integrity.
- Manage intake, prioritization, and resolution of integration and application related support tickets in alignment with service level expectations.
- Serve as an escalation resource for complex integration and application issues, supporting root cause analysis and resolution.
- Monitor support backlog trends and identify opportunities to improve system reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in enterprise initiatives including Workday releases, system enhancements, and new integration or Extend deployments.
- Support discovery, design, testing, deployment, and change control activities while balancing ongoing operational responsibilities.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, HR Technology, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
6 years of experience supporting and developing Workday integrations in a complex enterprise environment. Demonstrated experience designing and supporting integration orchestrations. Experience developing Workday Extend applications preferred. Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, and Finance business processes. Experience partnering with cross functional stakeholders and third party vendors.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in XML, XSLT, REST and SOAP APIs. Experience with Workday integration tools including EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, and RaaS. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Advanced Excel skills for data reconciliation and validation.
