Senior Back-End Engineer - Node.js Expert

What role will you play in the team: As a Senior Back-End Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our back-end development team. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable APIs using Node.js. Your expertise will drive the technical direction and ensure the reliability of our systems.

What you will do: You will design and implement RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js. You will optimize code for performance and scalability. You will collaborate with other engineers to integrate back-end systems with front-end applications and other services. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibility:

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Optimize back-end performance for speed and scalability.
• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate back-end systems.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in the back-end systems.

• Contribute to improving our development processes and standards.

Required Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in back-end development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js.
• Experience with database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of security best practices.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

A Day in the Life: Start with code reviews, then work on designing API, you will spend most of the time debugging and performance improvement and end with providing a mentorship to a junior engineer.
