Senior Backend Engineer - Node.js & AWS

What role will you play in the team:

As a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Node.js and AWS, you will be a pivotal member of our backend development team. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust backend systems. Your expertise in Node.js and AWS will drive the innovation and efficiency of our services.

What you will do:

You will architect and implement backend solutions using Node.js, deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, and optimize performance for high traffic loads. You'll collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key responsibility:

• Design and develop scalable and maintainable backend systems using Node.js.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, Lambda, and S3.
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with various data sources.
• Optimize backend performance for high traffic loads.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to define API contracts and data models.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of our backend systems.
• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data.

Required Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer with a focus on Node.js.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and related frameworks.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with database systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
