Strategic Consulting Analyst - Financial Modeling & Market Intelligence
Job Description
What role will you play in the team: You'll be an integral part of the strategic consulting team, providing analytical support and financial modeling expertise to client engagements. Your insights will directly influence strategic decision-making at leading organizations. You will work with a diverse set of projects that will help you grow to be a Strategy Consultant. The role will entail assisting the project lead, researching and preparing the project, modeling business scenarios for the project, and creating a final recommendation based on the facts you uncovered.
What you will do: You will develop financial models, conduct market research, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities. You will present your findings and recommendations to both internal teams and clients, playing a key role in shaping their strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, including forecasting, valuation, and scenario planning.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify key trends, opportunities, and threats.
- Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and provide actionable recommendations to clients.
- Prepare and present findings in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in written reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Support project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects.
- Contribute to the development of intellectual property and best practices within the consulting team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in financial modeling and market intelligence.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for new business opportunities.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0-1 years of experience in financial modeling, market research, or strategic consulting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling techniques and advanced formulas.
- Experience with market research tools such as Qualtrics or Nielsen is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce or HubSpot is a plus.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach.

A Day in the Life: Your day might involve building a financial model to assess a new market entry strategy, analyzing competitor data to understand market share, presenting your findings to a client, and collaborating with your team on a new project proposal. You are also expected to complete a couple of certifications per year that can help with you career advancement. You may also have to assist other people in their daily work.
