Lead Accounting Manager (Remote)

This role will be instrumental in managing core accounting activities and ensuring an accurate financial close process. The Accounting Manager will work closely with various teams to maintain scalable accounting practices that support the companys growth. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and excel at detail-oriented tasks while keeping the broader objectives in sight.
Accountabilities

• Own and execute key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Ensure accurate accounting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Support accounting for R&D and clinical trial activities
• Help design, document, and improve accounting processes
• Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
• Support external audits and reviews
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred)
• 58+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in biotech or life sciences
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with financial close processes and audits
• Exposure to R&D and clinical trial accounting preferred
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems like NetSuite
