Lead Data Analytics Engineer II

Major Purpose

Acquires, connects, transforms, & evaluates data attributes to be used to develop internal or offboard analytics products. Often collaborates with IT and develops solutions in alignment with existing technical standards and constructs. This level develops visualizations, datasets, and/or data processing for small scale or initial project iterations within a department. Projects are of low risk.

Major Duties

• Connects existing datasets to be used for data science initiatives for our enterprise, dealers, and customers.
• 
  Transforms data in alignment with data science needs and governance parameters.
• Evaluates and analyzes data for trends, outliers, and overall quality required for analytics initiatives.
• Performs ad-hoc descriptive analytics requests with data of medium complexity.
• Creates technical documentation to ensure smooth transition of data engineering work to production.

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge

Understanding of programming languages relative to multiple Data Base Management Systems (DBMSs).

Quantitative analytical skills

Programming skills necessary to create and maintain applications

Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
