Job Description
- Your role as a Solution Architect and Strategist will involve collaborating with stakeholders to define the long-term BI strategy, selecting appropriate tools and technologies. You will design and develop data models, ETL packages, OLAP cubes, and reports using Power BI while following best practices. It will be your responsibility to document source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and database designs. Additionally, you will work with APIs and tools like Postman to build and test APIs, seamlessly integrating them into the overall architecture.
In the realm of Data Modeling and Governance, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining reference architectures for reports based on various data sources such as Data Warehouse and SharePoint. Ensuring adherence to data governance standards, including proper data refreshes and publishing of common dataset hierarchies will be crucial. Implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive data will also fall under your purview.
As a Technical Leader and Collaborator, you will lead technical reviews of reports and dashboards before production deployment. Identifying areas for improvement to optimize data flows and providing hands-on guidance to users in optimizing their data models and reports for efficient performance and usability will be key responsibilities.
Managing Power BI Premium capacity, including allocation, monitoring, and optimization, will be part of your role. You will need to allocate workspaces effectively based on business needs and ensure the efficient utilization of resources within the Premium capacity.
In terms of User Support and Community Engagement, you will address user questions related to Power BI and other BI technologies within the organization. Proactively troubleshooting and fixing data model issues for users when necessary will be essential. Moreover, organizing monthly community calls to support, train, and guide citizen developers, fostering a strong BI community, will be an integral part of your responsibilities.
