Job Description

- Accountable for incident, problem, change management, risk, vendor and client relationship, internal and external communications, service delivery, lifecycle management, and service evolution.
- Execute day-to-day duties of the function and define and drive MIS requirements to support and improve the business processes supported.
- Act as the primary customer interface for day-to-day issues and queries.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and emerging management capability (e.g., Team Leader / SME).
- Coach and mentor less experienced team members and support overall team management responsibilities.
- Develop organizational functional goals, priorities, and service objectives aligned to the overall GT strategy.
- Create original documentation and update existing documentation.
- Act independently and leverage critical thinking.
- Advocate for the customer base when faced with infrastructure or business-critical issues.
- Execute within a customer-centric environment.
- Operate flexibly in a hands-on, fast-paced, high-pressure, client-focused, and collaborative environment.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- BE/BS degree or equivalent with 7+ years of experience in Network Operation.
- Expertise in one or more network technologies: Routing & Switching (LAN, WAN, MAN).
- Expertise in IP services such as load balancing, Bluecoat proxies, and firewalls.
- Expertise in data center technologies (Nexus, ASR, VXLAN, Cisco ACI / SIMPL, Arista Fabric).
- Expertise in optical technologies (Ciena).
- Experience working in a banking, exchange, or technology environment within a global organization.
- Understanding of network infrastructure components and how they are tracked and managed in various systems.
- Ability to use (or learn) scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, etc.
- Experience with protocol analyzers (Cpacket, BigSwitch, Wireshark, Riverbed).
- Experience with capacity/monitoring management tools (Splunk, SevOne, ThousandEyes).
