As a Macro economic research professional within our Multi-Asset Solutions team you will be responsible for setting and improving our organizational objectives, and ensuring their consistent accomplishment. You will work with the Global team to leverage and enhance their ability to arrive at asset allocation decisions and will be expected to undertake macro economic research anddo a wide range of other research activities to support the ongoing investment process and help meet client requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build models and frameworks for macro-economic variables for regions under coverage, and assessing implications for various markets and asset classes.
- Prepare slides for weekly and monthly asset allocation packs by gathering and analyzing macro-economic and markets data from a variety of sources to prepare data tables, graphs and commentaries.
- Work with senior strategists, preparing analysis and materials on monetary and fiscal policy changes for updates to CIO teams, Investment Specialists and clients.
- Cater to requests from clients, which may involve gathering and analyzing data, drafting commentaries, bespoke analysis on specific economies/ markets, responding to queries on assumptions and forecasts, etc.
- Assist the broader GST team in updating and maintaining models for Equities, Fixed Income, Currencies and other asset classes.
- Streamline and automating periodic updates to frameworks and other reports across the GST team.
- Contribute to any bespoke thematic Research requests or long-term strategic projects.
- requirements
Required qualifications, capabilitiesand skills:
- Postgraduate degree in Economics from a top tier university
- 2 years of relevant industry experience in a Macro Research/ Strategy function
- Proficiency in Python and prior experience in automating data sets
- Strong numerical skills and experience of writing commentary
- Well versed with Bloomberg, Eviews, Factset and other financial databases
- Good communication and team skills in a multi-location set up
- Close attention to detail and ability to work to very high standards
- A strong motivation to learn and passion for financial markets

Preferred qualifications, capabilitiesand skills:
- Familiarity with Multi-asset solutions business
- Understanding of global markets and different asset classes
- CFA / MBA would be an added advantage.
