Asset Management India Client & Product teams cover functions that span across the entire lifecycle of a client. The Product teams, comprising of Research analysts, Investment Specialists (IS) and Portfolio Management teams are responsible for providing additional insights to our securities coverage universe, strategy design, commercializing and monetizing our strategies. The Client Service group caters to functions like RFP, Onboarding, KYC, Client Reporting and Fund level Governance oversight functions involving Product administration, Board management, Funds registration, TA Service Delivery, Product implementation and vendor management services.

The current opening is within Communication Control Group-Marketing in Mumbai which forms part of the AWM LOB within GF&BM India.

Team Description:
We have an opportunity for an individual with compliance or regulatory experience to join our APAC Communication Control Group (CCG) based in Mumbai.
The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of Asset management business, general understanding of regulatory obligations around marketing communications, coupled with a pro-active attitude and strong communication skills.
The Communication Control Group (CCG) is a global function residing in the distribution business of J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
Its mission is to deliver a framework and service that empowers the entire global asset management business to generate and disseminate regulatory compliant communications in the most effective and timely manner to our clients.
To achieve this, the group actively engages with other functions across the distribution business: marketing, sales and client services, and the product desks as well as has a close partnership with the compliance organization and CCG teams globally.

Role
As part of CCG, this role provides Marketing Compliance oversight within the First line of defense by providing advice and guidance in preparing compliant communications in accordance with external regulations and internal firm-wide policies and the controls.
This role will also assist on the marketing related governance topics to help facilitate effective and prudent practices that contribute to the long-term success of the business as well as partner closely amongst teams across APAC, EMEA and NAMR.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Review of medium and high-risk client communications/marketing materials


• Pro-active engagement in the review of globally distributed client communications


• Oversight of low-risk materials self-certified by the business


• Provide day-to-day content advice to the business


• Involvement with the preparation and delivery of marketing training across the business


• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory environment and an awareness of the evolving mediums and methods used for marketing activities


• Be instrumental in driving initiatives around efficiency, automation and data optimization

Qualifications

• Relevant industry experience / knowledge / competencies


• Good academic or professional qualifications


• Practical working knowledge of all asset classes and financial instruments


• Experience in a similar role either within the business, legal, compliance, controls department or within a regulator in relation to asset management products and services
