As a Litigation Business Management Associate in our Legal Finance organization, you will define, refine, and deliver on key objectives for our firm. You will partner with legal and finance teams to provide strategic analysis, timely reporting, and develop new reporting capabilities for the Legal CFO, with a focus on controls and operational risk.
You will analyze data, enhance Alteryx workflows, design and maintain Tableau dashboards, and write SQL queries to support business needs. By applying best practices in data visualization and analytics, you will translate requirements into effective solutions, manage multiple projects, and support special initiatives across the team.
Job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Litigation reporting processes including managing RFP requests and analyzing external vendor spend, volume and related metrics
- Interact regularly with senior management and support Practice Groups Heads with reporting and analytics for cases and spend
Collaborate with data quality and technology teams to enhance LitHub and to reengineer Litigation team processes - Analyze financial and operational data, leveraging modern technologies such as Databricks, SQL, and Alteryx.
- Develop and optimize data workflows, including writing SQL queries and managing data from various sources
- Build and enhance Tableau dashboards, ensuring effective visualization and actionable insights.
- Obtain feedback on dashboard iterations and incorporate feedback through continuous enhancements.
- Apply best practices in data visualization and advanced analytics, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and user-friendly dashboards.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously, assisting with special initiatives and cross-team collaboration as needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of work experience in analytics for Business, Finance, or other related areas
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL
- Working knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and profit & loss (P&L) concepts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrates a can-do attitude and leads by example and prioritizes team development
- Highly motivated, self-starter, team player, inquisitive, enthusiastic, and diligent
- Detail-oriented, able to distinguish between important and urgent tasks
