As a Executive Director in our Alternative Fund Services team, you will be responsible for administering private equity funds and hedge funds and other alternative investment vehicles. JPMorgan Alternative Fund Services delivers an extensive solution for hedge fund, private equity, and fund of hedge fund clients seeking independent administration and custody services or to outsource their day-to-day operations

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the location-based team of highly talented Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting professionals, in a matrix model which comprises of fund accounting and financial reporting
• Take end to end ownership of client deliverables 
  
• In the matrix model, the candidate is expected to work across Alternative and Traditional functions across geographies
• Drive the local fund accounting team to define and drive the program initiatives and business goals that are in scope
• Partner with various internal and external stakeholders, Lead strategic projects for internal initiatives & external clients
• Champion and lead innovative solutions to Fund Accounting problems in planned initiatives as well as fire-drills.
• Develop and nurture a strong local partnership across product management, operations, and product development, technology teams
• Integrate and partner with Centres of Excellence in India, in areas such as Xceptor, Machine Learning and Robotics, to identify the best opportunities for Fund Services to drive client centric solutions
• Monitor and evaluate current processes and technology, and work with leadership to improve and gain efficiencies
• Lead any and all talent acquisition and staff retention initiatives in the location to enable the best chances of success for the India-based team.
• Develop team members by setting objectives, providing performance feedback, participate in mentoring program and monitor teams adherence to control procedures

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

Get Hired
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting / ICWA / CA / MBA / CPA
• 12-15 years of accounting experience, preferably private equity or hedge fund accounting
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and accounting software
• Strong technical knowledge of complex accounting concepts, structures, and investor allocations
• Must be extremely organized and able to multitask, motivated and willing to explore new ways to enhance a process 
• Must have people management, relationship building skills to develop partnerships and drive results

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Familiarity with complex private equity, hedge funds legal and investment structures & various waterfall models preferable
• Experience using partnership accounting applications preferable
• Experience of working in a truly global operating model with counterparts located in multiple countries and time zones preferable
