Department Description

Digital Document Services (DDS) is a dedicated team of change resources focused on large scale transformation initiatives within the document management space that address Industry, Client and Business requirements across the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). The group provides a unique mix of project skills and product experience that are not tied to a specific business enabling it to deliver enhanced document management services that can be leveraged and reused across any business function across the firm.

Team Background

Within DDS, our team is working on a new initiative focused on delivering the create functionality using contract management software through a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool. This initiative will facilitate and speed time to market for contract negotiation between Legal and the client by digitizing, organizing and centralizing business contracts to provide a ‘born digital’ documentation experience.

Role Description

The team is seeking a candidate preferably with prior experience within the Financial Services industry. The successful candidate would be driving execution of CLM product implementation and owning the system and workflow configuration for all in-scope documents. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to new technologies and will require partnership with representatives from across the organisation including Business, Product, Legal, Operations and Technology groups, as well as working with external stakeholders i.e. vendors.

Key responsibilities include

  • Drive execution of CLM product implementation in accordance to CLM implementation methodology, within the bounds of agreed scope, schedule and effort.
  • Own system and workflow configuration and deployment activities.
  • Manage implementation and setup of clauses, templates, clause libraries, and template libraries, CLM Taxonomy in the CLM configuration tool, working with applicable business and firm stakeholders. Coordinate with technology team to effectively integrate templates and clauses into the CLM solution.
  • Manage quality assurance testing and end-user acceptance testing efforts to validate system functionality. Coordinates with technology team to drive complex system issue resolutions and defect minimization.
  • Identify and enact continuous service improvements through technology and process improvements, with a keen eye to identifying opportunities to enhance services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree required (information systems, computer science or supply chain/operations degree Preferred).
  • Overall 4+ years of experience with a minimum of 2 years of related contracts, technology, project, people, change, and relationship management experience
  • Understands banking industry processes around contracting – from opportunity through execution and administration
  • Understanding of information/CLM system principles, design, and functions
  • Understanding business requirements and processes & legacy systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with good interpersonal skills and ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer relationships with client counterparts.
  • Prior experience in implementing Contract Management/Supply Chain applications is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAAS solutions a plus
  • Having CLM certificates such as: ICI administrator certificate and/or ICI practitioner certificate is a plus
  • Knowledge of Wholesales Payment, Security Services, or Markets business is a plus
