Credit Risk Wholesale Credit (Merchant Services) - Associate

Credit Risk is independent within Corporate Risk Management, reporting to the firm’s Chief Risk Officer (CRO). Our practices are designed to preserve the independence and integrity of decision making.

Chase Merchant Services (MS) Wholesale Credit Risk is a distinct credit management unit aligned to Merchant Services, a sub-LOB within the Corporate & Investment Bank. The Merchant Service Special Credit Group is responsible for managing high-risk credit relationships and determining risk mitigation strategies to minimize losses incurred. Responsibilities include assigning an completing credit due diligence, assigning an obligor grade in line with the firmwide policies and working with internal and external stakeholders to communicate and execute risk mitigation strategies. 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar area and in-depth knowledge of accounting and corporate finance 
• 
  5+ years of relevant credit or underwriting experience 
• Previous experience working in the payments industry
• Strong analytical and modeling skills
• Capable of understanding, describing, and debating complex concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
