Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined LOB-aligned (Line of Business-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.

GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions.

The Corporate Sector Finance & Business Management - Associate

Position Summary

• Partner closely with stakeholders across the broader finance and business management organization to assist in the development of Corporate Sector's consolidated monthly financial forecast and annual budget (P&L and Balance Sheet)


• Own relationship with key Corporate P&A stakeholders including Firmwide P&A and Investor Relations, and serve as the primary conduit of business intelligence on behalf of Corporate P&A


• Assist in the Corporate Sector quarterly earnings submission, including partnering with Regulators, Firmwide P&A, Investor Relations, Controllership and Tax to assess quarterly results, develop a thorough earnings narrative for senior management, and prepare relevant internal materials and external filings


• Construct ad-hoc financial models and analytics to support critical Corporate Sector priorities and enable thoughtful senior management decision making


• Build and maintain relationships with peers across Corporate P&A to develop broad insight of the businesses across Corporate Sector and ensure firmwide priorities and targets are implemented uniformly across the segment


• The Central team is responsible for providing analytics for central processes across Corporate sector including FX, LE, and incentive compensation. It also includes budgeting, forecasting, allocations, financial analytics and reporting for Corporate Aligned functions.


• The ideal candidate will be well balanced qualitatively and quantitatively,recognizing and escalating important variances, with an understanding of the underlying drivers
  

Qualifications

• MBA/CA with 4-6 years or Graduate with 8-10 years of experience

Skill sets - Technical

• Strong knowledge of Corporate Financial systems including: Essbase, SAP, Forecasting tools, Pitch-pro, Doc pro, MS Office presentation tools


• Experience with expense analysis, business commentary writing, budgeting and forecasting


• Excellent communication skills


• Excellent stakeholder management and articulation


• Highly effective time management skills performed with minimal directions.


• Be able to estimate the effort and timescales involved in the tasks


• To participate in quality reviews, constantly striving to improve working practices
