Fixed Income Financing Product Controller Senior Associate

A fantastic opportunity to work in Fixed Income Financing (FIF) supporting the trading desk and other key stakeholders with specific focus on Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) and Capital. The role is focused on providing financial analysis in order to assist the trading desk optimize their capital footprint operating in a fast-paced environment. The role offers the chance to work with a truly global team and make a difference in the broader Finance organization and with the Fixed Income Financing business. 

As a Fixed Income Financing Controller – Associate in our prestigious organization, you will have the opportunity to operate as a key partner to the business in order to inform strategic decisions around trading strategy and resource management. Additional opportunities will include working cross-functionally with Technology, Operations, and other Finance & Business Management teams to deliver consequential firm wide and process improvement projects. 

Job responsibilities

• Assist with production of monthly and quarterly RWA results for the business. 
• Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to desk heads, senior finance management and other key stakeholders.
• Assist with pre-quarter end analysis in order to help the business position most efficiently for capital outcome. 
• Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives utilizing new technology. 
• Drive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner.
  
• Partner with all Line of Business across Markets with regards to repo style RWA calculations.
• Work closely with Regulatory Policy teams in order to ensure compliance with regulations on existing and new business activity. 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• 2+ years within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related area.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience working with other Finance systems.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 

• Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while demonstrating an ability and passion for process improvements.
• Solid understanding of financial products such as repos, swaps, futures, and bonds in a trading environment.
• Some controller background (product control or financial control), experience with RWA and Capital.
