As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), youll help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems. Much of our support and software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and reducing work through automation. You’ll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks. In this environment, you’ll take the lead on relevant projects, supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship you need to learn and grow. As an SRE, you’ll be focused on running better production applications and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and debug automated tasks (Apps, Systems, Infrastructure)
  • Manage a team of 6-10 SRE and DevOps engineers
  • Build software solutions which improve the application observability, availability and self heals.
  • Work with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases
  • Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
  • Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands
  • Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems
  • Participate in the 24x7 support coverage whenever required.

Qualifications:

  • BS/Engineering degree or equivalent experience with 13+ years of Software Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering
  • Hands on experience on Cloud Foundry/AWS or similar cloud platform
  • Hands on experience on telemetry and monitoring using splunk, appdynamic, synatrace, geneous, Grafana or similar tools.
  • End to end understanding on Incident and Problem management.
  • Hands on experience on CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with Oracle/MS-Sql or any other database.
  • Exposure on Big Data technology will be added advantage
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, Java)
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., bash, PowerShell) to automate tasks and manipulate data

  • Experience with Agile and full software development life cycle disciplines
  • Experience with resolving application function and system customer support issues
  • Experience with SQL for metrics development 
  • Experience with Linux, Windows
  • Experience troubleshooting Tomcat/Compile/Web/DB performance and other system level components
  • Designs and contributes to performance monitoring and capacity management tools.
  • Able to work on multiple large projects that have business impact, and is self-initiated. Should be able to provide supporting data or communicate business value of the projects.
  • Knowledge of Open Source and Source Code vulnerabilities and scanning methods a plus
  • Is seen as a change agent and key contributor to the SRE Team(s).
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more infrastructure components (e.g. networking, cloud services, orchestration tools, containerization, compute, and storage systems)
  • Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting components.
