Join our Global Clearing team within the Global Equities Line of Business at the Corporate & Investment Bank, where you'll help clients clear and settle derivative transactions worldwide. Our business includes Futures & Options, Over the Counter Clearing, Foreign Exchange Prime Brokerage, and Treasury Liquidity Management, and is a leader in regulatory reform, such as mandatory clearing of OTC Derivatives and Basel III rules. With a history of providing Sales, Execution, and Clearing services since 1979, we offer electronic trading access to over 50 exchanges. Our OTC Clearing business plays a crucial role in helping clients navigate new regulations like Dodd/Frank and EMIR. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in a rapidly evolving industry.
As the Product Controller for the Global Clearing business within the Corporate & Investment Bank, you will focus on PnL and risk reporting for the Clearing desk. You will own daily P&L and month-end close processes, provide detailed financial analysis and reporting, and partner with the business to implement robust controls and new initiatives. This role offers an opportunity to gain expertise in a dynamic area of focus within the bank and markets, especially during a time of significant industry change.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own daily P&L and month-end close processes for Clearing Desk
- Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management
- Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives
- Drive coordination across various back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner
- Serve as an analytical and project support resource for product control

- Ensure product control is adhering to the CIB product controller standards and actively work to remediate any gaps
- Compile and distribute MIS to the business such as monthly financials and other ad-hoc requests
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Work experience in Finance or Accounting
- Strong quantitative/analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent Communication and Presentation skills - written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task and execute on a variety of deliverables in a high paced environment
- Ability to implement and maintain effective controls
- Self-Motivated and Results Driven and the ability to improve on current processes and drive operational change
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Derivatives experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Alteryx and VBA experience would be an advantage
