Job Description
- As a Developer Lead with sound experience in Agile methodologies, Java suite of technologies, and Cloud technologies, particularly within the investment banking domain, you will play a crucial role in leading the development of modern solutions at JPMorgan Chase. Joining the Commercial & Investment Bank's Equities Tech team, you will work alongside a team of innovators and technologists to enhance business operations through your extensive expertise in design, development, problem-solving, testing, and product integration. Your familiarity with various technology delivery concepts like Domain Promoten Design, API-oriented development, microservices, event-based architectures, and automation will be key in driving the team forward.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with a forward-thinking approach to build innovative solutions and tackle complex technical problems. Your tasks will include creating secure and high-quality production code, producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, analyzing and synthesizing data sets for continuous improvement, and identifying hidden problems and patterns to drive coding hygiene and system architecture enhancements. Additionally, you will contribute to software engineering communities of practice, events exploring new technologies, and foster a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
**Job Responsibilities:**
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with innovative approaches
- Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms in sync with systems
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from diverse data sets for continuous improvement
- Identify hidden problems and patterns to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new technologies
- Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
**Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills:**
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with at least 5 years of applied experience
- Experience leading development and hands-on experience in Spring Boot, RestAPI development, React, Java, Oracle, Cloud, Kafka, and design patterns
- Strong application development background with a focus on Design Thinking
- Experience in tools like Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Splunk, with familiarity in Unix/Linux environment
- Understanding and implementation of test-driven development
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

- Knowledge of modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies like CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud)

- Experience working at the code level
- Financial domain knowledge
- Exposure to cloud technologies
