Senior Engineer Instrumentation (Shift)

Role & responsibilities

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)

• Adherence to plant safety procedures and ensure Zero safety incidents
• Ensure uptime of equipment> 95%
• Ensure 100% compliance to operation through batch portal
• 100% PM and Calibration compliance
• Procurement of spares and ensuring its 100% availability
• Adherence to budgeted cost
• Capability building in the technicians
• Documentation updating and maintaining (IMS, legal, dept record, PM checklist etc)

Critical Tasks

Impart required training to the team members

Motivate the team to increase productivity and to achieve goals

Handling shift breakdowns, finding the root cause and eliminating it so that it will not repeat again.

Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose issues related to field instrumentation and automation

Hands on experience in troubleshooting issues related to Siemens PLC, ABB DCS and MES systems

Carrying out the preventive maintenance activities as per schedule

Calibration of field instrument as per the schedule and whenever required.

Ensuring of Minimum stock availability of Critical spares

Preparation of Power reports on daily basis and doing its analysis

Ensuring 100% compliance on statutory requirements related to Electrical installations

Maintaining the documents related to PM check lists, Breakdown analysis, Power consumption report and Status of critical spares

Handling ITI technicians & getting the field work executed.

Maintain necessary documents as part of the above system

Competencies

Good Knowledge of Siemens PLC, ABB DCS and MES .

Good Analytical and Problem Solving Skills

Good Knowledge of ERP systems

Able to get work done from Team of Technicians and Contractors.

Up to date with relevant statutory requirements

Communication skills

Educational Background and Work Experience

Diploma in ECE or E&I with 4+ years work experience
