Role Objective
To support centralized inventory planning and execution for JSW MIs Buy & Sale business by assisting in procurement planning, shipment tracking, inventory monitoring, and cross‑functional coordination, ensuring timely order fulfillment and adherence to internal processes and controls.
Key Accountabilities
To support centralized inventory planning and execution for JSW MIs Buy & Sale business by assisting in procurement planning, shipment tracking, inventory monitoring, and cross‑functional coordination, ensuring timely order fulfillment and adherence to internal processes and controls.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in development of Monthly Production Plan along with the sales team in accordance with the SOP Procedure for Purchase order of Raw Material.
- Assist in placement of RM orders to JSW Steel / JSW Coated / JSSL locations based on approved Monthly Production Plan
- Track orders and shipments from order placement to receipt at JSW MI locations.
- Coordinate with JSW Sales, CSD, Plant Logistics, SCM, transporters, and internal teams for timely execution.
- Maintain accurate data in ERP / SAP systems related to inventory, dispatches, and receipts.
- Prepare MIS reports covering inventory status, dispatch tracking, and execution performance.
- Ensure compliance with defined SOPs, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Escalate execution issues, delays, or variances to the Head – Inventory Management in a timely manner.
- Accuracy and timeliness of inventory and shipment tracking
- Adherence to dispatch plans and timelines
- Quality and timeliness of MIS reporting
- Qualification: Engineering / Graduate with exposure to SCM, Operations, or related functions (MBA preferred)
- Experience:
- Officer: 2–4 years
- Executive: 4–7 years Experience in inventory management, logistics coordination, SCM, or steel industry operations preferred
- Understanding inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Strong coordination and follow‑up skills.
- Basic financial awareness related to inventory and working capital.
- ERP / SAP and Excel proficiency.
- Data analytics and MIS skills.
- Discipline in process adherence and documentation.
