Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Senior Cinematographer with 5+ years of professional experience who has a strong command of cinematic camera handling, advanced lighting, and visual storytelling. The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting stunning visuals, capturing the essence of our educational stories, and delivering premium-quality video content for our brand films, educational series, and school events.

Key Responsibilities

• Cinematic Execution: Operate high-end cinema cameras (e.g., Arri, RED, Blackmagic, Sony, Canon) with precision and artistic intent.
• Visual Strategy: Work closely with the Head of Video Production and the creative team to visualize concepts, plan shot lists, and execute the visual direction for all projects.
• Lighting Design: Plan, set up, and manage sophisticated lighting (both natural and artificial) to achieve desired moods, tones, and a polished, high-quality look.
• On-Set Leadership: Manage the on-set camera and lighting team, ensuring a smooth and efficient shooting flow, and oversee the maintenance and care of all camera equipment.
• 
  Multi-Environment Shooting: Expertly handle both indoor (classrooms, labs, studios) and outdoor (campus, events) shoots with a strong aesthetic sense and exceptional composition skills.
• Post-Production Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the post-production (editing) team to ensure visual consistency, proper color grading handoffs, and that the final product matches the intended storytelling quality.

Qualifications & Skills

Must-Haves:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Cinematographer or Director of Photography (DOP).
• Technical Knowledge: A strong technical portfolio demonstrating mastery of cinema cameras, gimbals/stabilizers, lenses, and a wide range of lighting gear.
• Hands-on Expertise: Demonstrable experience in shooting promotional/brand films, documentary-style content, and dynamic events.
• Core Skills: Excellent, instinctual understanding of framing, composition, exposure, lens selection, and color theory.
• Leadership: Ability to independently lead and manage all camera and lighting setups from concept to execution.
• Professionalism: Strong time management, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills, especially under the pressure of on-set schedules.

• A keen eye for emerging cinematic trends and storytelling through visual mood.
