Position : Senior RND Manager

Location : Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra & Gundulpet,Karnataka ( Can be based in Navi Mumbai with monthly travel to Gundulpet)

Role Overview

Were seeking an experienced Senior R&D Manager to lead our discoverytocommercialization pipeline. Youll own end-to-end project deliverytranslating market needs into robust formulations and scalable processes, mentoring a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring regulatory compliance across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

-Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the R&D roadmap for new ingredient technologies & process innovations.

-Project Management: Oversee multiple concurrent projects from concept through scale-up; manage timelines, budgets and resource allocation.

-Team Development: Mentor and grow a cross-functional team of scientists and technicians; foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

-Technical Expertise: Design and optimize extraction, encapsulation and formulation protocols;

-Regulatory & Quality: Lead preparation of regulatory dossiers (US FDA, EFSA, FSSAI) and ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO and internal SOPs.

-Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to align R&D outputs with customer needs, IP strategy and commercial feasibility.

-Innovation & IP: Identify new research opportunities, evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., novel excipients, green solvents, plant proteins ) and contribute to patent filings.

Qualifications & Experience

-Masters or PhD in Chemistry, Pharmacy , Biotechnology or related field.

-15+ years of R&D experience in nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, functional foods or botanical extracts5+ years in a managerial role.

-Proven track record with formulation & scale-up of botanical ,spice& herb or nutraceutical ingredients

-Hands-on expertise in analytical techniques

-Strong project management skills

-Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (EFSA, FDA, FSSAI) and quality systems (GMP, ISO).

-Excellent communication skillsable to translate complex science into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.

-Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
