Power BI Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Power BI Developer to join a growing team focused on data analysis and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will be involved in the migration of data to the cloud (primarily using Azure), developing data models, and creating impactful visualizations to communicate insights.
Responsibilities:
* Power BI Development: Develop interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations in Power BI
* Data Modeling & Engineering: Build and optimize data models for Power BI, ensuring scalability and performance
* Collaboration: Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business challenges
* Cloud Migration: Assist in migrating data systems to Azure and leveraging cloud capabilities
* Data Analysis: Transform raw data into actionable insights using DAX and Power BI visualizations
* Problem-Solving: Work to understand business problems and translate them into data-driven solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for Power BI
* Experience with Big Data and familiarity with managing large datasets
* Solid understanding of visualization techniques and storytelling with data
* Proficient in Power BI development (both data modeling and report development)
* SQL skills (basic to intermediate level)
* Excellent communication skills to interface with both technical teams and business stakeholders
* Curiosity to dig deeper into data to uncover hidden insights
* Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
* A coachable mindset and willingness to learn and grow in the role
* Ability to perform rigorous data evaluations and engage in peer reviews
* Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions
* Open to feedback and training
* Experience with Azure and cloud-based data solutions is highly desired
* Familiarity with Power BI Fabric is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
