- Role Overview:
You will be joining as a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Kibo Commerce. Your main responsibility will be to focus on quality assurance by automating and optimizing testing processes using cutting-edge tools, with a special emphasis on leveraging Generative AI to enhance QA workflows. As a key member of the engineering team, you will need to combine a developer's mindset with a strong commitment to ensuring quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build automated tests, including unit and integration tests, using .NET/C# or Java directly within the core codebase.
- Enhance and maintain the separate UI automation framework with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Utilize Docker to create reliable test environments that do not rely on shared infrastructure.
- Actively use Generative AI tools to revolutionize QA workflows, from test case generation to automation script optimization.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive automation test plans based on software requirements.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality checks.
- Identify and report defects with detailed reproduction steps and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software.
- Stay updated on industry trends related to QA, automation, and AI-powered testing solutions.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development or test automation.
- Strong programming skills in .NET/C# or Java.
- Experience in web UI automation with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.

- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, Fiddler, or Swagger.
- Knowledge of containerization, especially Docker, for test automation purposes.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing GenAI tools for test-related tasks and a keen interest in exploring AI-driven QA solutions.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as NUnit, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, source control (Git), and test management tools like JIRA or TestRail.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
