Database Developer

About the Role:

We are hiring a Senior Database Developer who can take complete ownership of our MS SQL data backbone — someone who thrives in writing clean, optimized SQL code and is equally strong in maintaining high-performance, secure, and scalable database environments.

In this dual-function role, you will act as a hands-on SQL Programmer (developing complex logic, queries, procedures) and a Database Administrator (managing performance, security, backups) — enabling our products to operate smoothly and our data to stay reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

SQL Development (MS SQL):

• Design and develop efficient T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers to support product features and internal tools using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Write scalable, igh-performance MS SQL queries for analytics, reporting, and transactional systems.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to design data models and database architecture that scale.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure best practices in SQL Server development

Database Administration (MS SQL):

• Manage and monitor Microsoft SQL Server databases (2016/2019/2022) — ensuring performance, availability, and reliability.
• Perform performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization to support high-load environments.
• Design and implement backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery and high availability (e.g., AlwaysOn, log shipping).
• Set up and maintain database security, user access controls, and compliance protocols.
• Automate regular database tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or scripting tools.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to deadlocks, slow queries, and system bottlenecks.
