Job Description
- Through knowledge of forgings, casting, Pressure Die Casting, Sheet Metal, Rubber and machining process
- Identifications of suitable suppliers & selection of suppliers according to KB guidelines
- Negotiate all contracts as per Knorr-Bremse requirements from suppliers & ensure Annual cost down/VAVE
- Participate in supplier audits driven by SDE/SQD
- Prepare & send RFQ's using KB tools
- Prepare zero based costing & negotiate with suppliers for cost finalization
- Expedite development activities by supporting SQD
- Raise PO and track development as per product development commercialization
- Ensuring parts availability for trials, validations and production with the SQD
- Communicating design changes to suppliers
- Strong negotiating skills
- Zero base costing ( take support of Cost Engineer when needed)
- Supplier selection process and criteria
- Ability to handle supplier crises
- Knowledge of APQP and PPAP
- Know-How about IATF16949; ISO/TS16949; ISO14001, VDA 6.3,SAP
- Market supplier base and best practices
