Position description – Internal Audit and General Ledger Accountant (F & A)

The role of Internal Audit and GL Accountant will be responsible for managing Internal Audit and Internal Controls, General Ledger accounting, Balance sheet and Trial Balance review, Profit & Loss Analysis and assisting with the Group and Local Statutory Reporting.


Your key responsibilities

• Responsible reviewing and assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls as well as reporting on its strategies, policies, and procedures.
  
• Ensures adequate quality control framework for internal audit in line with group guidelines and guiding the team accordingly.
  
• Responsible for planning audits / activity as per agreed plan and preparing the audit planning documents.
  
• Preparation of risk-based audit plan for the audits to be conducted during the year.
  

• Interacting with respective departments and concerned stakeholders for detailed process walk through before initiating actual audit testing.
  
• Preparing Risk Assessment document while planning the audit to identify major risk areas and define the measures to validate the controls established to mitigate these risks.
  
• Ensure that the key controls as documented in the Risk Assessment Matrix (RAM) are adequately tested to support the audit conclusions.
  
• Maintaining internal controls as per Group Guidelines & Key Controls in place and monitor the process and transactions for process improvements from ICFR perspective.
  
• Validate the audit conclusions with the auditee and ensure factual accuracy.
  
• Required to have a good knowledge of accounting concepts related to Profit and Loss Account and Balance Sheet and understanding the key areas about the finalization of accounts and the complete cycle of R2R.
  
• Perform month end Journal entries, Month close activities, preparation of schedules, Scrutiny of Expense GLs, Variance analysis GLs of the results on MOM and YTD basis as per IFRS and Ind AS requirements.
  
• Ensure compliance with taxation, accounting policies, and regulatory regime.
  
• Periodic MIS to management.
  
• Experience of working on SAP.
  
• Strong analytical skills and should be comfortable working on excel.

  What should you bring?
  
  
• Education qualification – Qualified CA with 2 to 8 years.
  
• Hands-on experience and excellent knowledge of Internal Audit, GL accounting and Balance sheet account reconciliations.
  
• Strong conceptual understanding of accounting principles and processes.
  
• Good hands-on experience in MS Excel and SAP.
  
• Must have effective written and oral communication skills.
  
  
• Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards
