- Role Overview:
At Kovai.co, we are looking for a Data Scientist who can contribute to our mission of revolutionizing enterprise software and B2B SaaS solutions. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in understanding business problems, analyzing large datasets, developing advanced statistical and machine learning models, and driving innovative solutions to improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand business problems and formulate hypotheses to address them effectively
- Collect and interpret data, analyze results, identify patterns, and trends in large datasets
- Research and develop advanced statistical and machine learning models for analyzing large-scale, high-dimensional data
- Build custom machine learning models for various use-cases such as recommendation, insight generation, forecasting, and anomaly detection
- Perform data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data
- Build data pipelines to supply quality data to machine learning models in a production environment
- Support innovative analytical thinking and solutions that lead to improved business performance
- Write reports based on insights gained from exploratory data analysis and effectively communicate findings to the product owner
- Practice industry well-known Machine Learning Framework and best practices
Qualifications Required:
- Proven working experience of 2+ years as a Data Scientist
- Strong proficiency in mathematics including statistics, probability, linear algebra, and time series analysis
- Experience working with large datasets and data wrangling using SQL (Structured Query Language)
- Familiarity with tools such as JuPyteR, TensorFlow, Python, Azure ML, Prophet (Open source software), and MS SQL Server

- Working knowledge of applied machine learning techniques such as regression, clustering, forecasting of time-series data, and Classification models
- Proficiency in LSTM, hypothesis testing, and supervised/unsupervised learning
- Familiarity with all aspects of the analytical cycle including data wrangling, visualization, feature engineering, and model building
- Ability to write scalable scripts to fetch or modify data from API endpoints
- Exposure to cloud technology, especially Azure, is preferred
- Excellent critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills
