Job Description
- As a Security Professional at KPMG in India, your role will involve implementing and configuring Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions to mitigate risks, improve performance, and create value for clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Deploying, configuring, and managing DLP solutions such as Forcepoint, Symantec, and McAfee
- Designing and implementing DLP policies for email, endpoints, cloud storage, and web traffic
- Integrating DLP with SIEM, CASB, and other security tools for centralized monitoring
- Conducting proof-of-concept (PoC) testing for new DLP features and updates
- Collaborating with IT teams and business units to align DLP configurations with organizational security policies
- Regularly reviewing and fine-tuning DLP policies to reduce false positives and negatives
- Conducting data classification and discovery scans to identify sensitive information
- Establishing role-based access controls (RBAC) to manage DLP policy enforcement
- Implementing custom content detection rules for industry-specific sensitive data (e.g., PII, PCI, PHI)
- Investigating DLP alerts and incidents, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions
- Escalating high-risk incidents to Security Operations Center (SOC) and Incident Response (IR) teams
- Maintaining incident response playbooks and coordinating mitigation strategies for data leaks
- Generating DLP reports and dashboards to track policy violations and incident trends
- Creating and managing classification labels and content policies
- Setting permissions for users based on organizational requirements
- Activating or deactivating file protection as needed
- Transferring ownership or revoking access to files
In addition to the key responsibilities mentioned above, you must have the following technical skills:
- Hands-on experience with DLP tools such as Symantec DLP, Forcepoint DLP, Microsoft Purview, McAfee DLP, Digital Guardian, and Netskope
- Strong understanding of data classification, encryption, and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Expertise in network security, endpoint security, and cloud security
- Experience in SIEM integration, CASB solutions, and data discovery tools
- Knowledge of incident response frameworks and forensic investigation techniques

Your soft skills should include:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
