BUYER /Purchase Officer Engineer -Offshore/ Oil & Gas/Gulf

Position Overview:

The Buyer will manage procurement activities for offshore oil & gas projects, focusing on Static & Rotary Equipment, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), Valves, Structural, and Piping materials. The role ensures timely, cost-effective procurement that meets project specifications and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase materials and services for offshore projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely delivery.
• Negotiate with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitor performance, and resolve issues related to procurement, logistics, or quality.
• Coordinate material logistics and ensure timely delivery to offshore sites.
• Manage inventory levels and track material shipments.
• Support procurement budgeting and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Seek cost-effective procurement options while ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  
• Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure materials meet specifications and delivery timelines.
• Assist in resolving procurement-related issues during project execution.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years in procurement, specifically for offshore Oil & Gas projects, with experience in Static & Rotary Equipment, E&I, Valves, Structural, and Piping materials.

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with safety regulations in offshore environments.

Preferred:

Offshore procurement experience and knowledge of project management tools.
