Head Of Fabrication Yard - Offshore Oil & Gas

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven Head of Fabrication Yard to lead and oversee the entire operations of our fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in yard management, a strong business development acumen, and deep expertise in fabrication processes, project execution, and client relationship management, particularly within the Oil & Gas EPC sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the fabrication yard team.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations across all yard activities.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality.

Business Development:

• Drive business growth by identifying and securing new EPC projects within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal business units to develop competitive proposals and project bids.

Fabrication & Project Execution:

• Oversee end-to-end fabrication activities, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, project schedules, and quality standards.
• Monitor productivity, resource utilization, and progress to meet project milestones and deliverables.
• Interface with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to support seamless project execution.

• Act as the primary point of contact for major clients during project execution.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through timely communication, issue resolution, and value-added service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Masters preferred).
• 20+ years of experience in fabrication yard operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in business development and client acquisition for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• In-depth knowledge of fabrication processes, heavy steel structures, piping, modules, and pressure vessels.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations, QA/QC standards, and project management practices.
